n July 17, 2024, Mr. Isam, representing a local fertilizer distributor in Oman, sent our company an inquiry. He planned to expand into the organic fertilizer market and required a low-cost, high-efficiency small-scale organic fertilizer production line. Also, the primary raw material was humic acid, suitable for crops in arid regions. However, his company faced two major challenges: a lack of expertise in processing humic acid and insufficient experience in customs clearance and installation of imported fertilizer equipment. Subsequently, we communicated with him to understand his specific needs and goals. Moreover, he aimed to supply Oman’s local farms cultivating date palms and vegetables, as well as targeting the Middle East and East African export markets for high-value cash crops.

Initially, our salesman proposed a 1 t/h organic fertilizer churning granulation line. However, Isam’s end customers showed a strong preference for liquid fertilizer production. Furthermore, the Omani government is promoting “Vision 2040”, encouraging agricultural modernization and sustainable fertilizers. Additionally, humic acid raw materials could be imported from Pakistan or India at low shipping costs. Local water resources are sufficient to meet the dilution requirements of liquid humic acid fertilizer. Moreover, there are local organic certification subsidy policies in Oman. Therefore, we designed a 2,000 l/h humic acid liquid fertilizer production line and sent the relevant quotation to Isam for consideration.

How to Design 2,000 L/H Humic Acid Liquid Fertilizer Production Line?

Then, we crafted a detailed production process for preparing organic liquid fertilizer. The procedure included raw material handling, mixing and stirring, pH adjustment, filtration, storage, and packaging. Besides, we considered automation and quality control, incorporating a fully automatic packaging line. And, the equipment list included:

  • Automatic Cleaning Filter: The tank, made of 304 stainless steel, filters liquid impurities with a self-cleaning function.

  • Ultraviolet Rays Sterilizer: This equipment uses high-energy UV photons to eliminate viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens in the liquid fertilizer.

  • Ingredients Adding Tank: Made of 304 stainless steel, it’s used for adding and mixing culture media, biological bacteria, trace elements, etc. into the formulation.

  • Fermentation Reactor: For heating, dissolving, stirring, chelating and cooling humic acid raw materials, ensuring uniform mixing and stability.

  • Storage Tank: An horizontal tank with a polished stainless steel inner wall and a fiberglass exterior for maintaining long-term storage quality.

  • Automatic Filling Line: This system includes an automatic bottle cap elevator, an in-line arrangement capping machine, etc. with weighing, unloading, capping, coding, and conveying functions.

Besides, we estimated the investment return for his project. The 2000 L/H organic fertilizer liquid production line would recover costs within 14 months based on a local selling price of 0.8 USD/L liquid fertilizer. With a double-shift operation, the annual production capacity would reach 4,800 tons.

On September 15, 2024, Isam proactively called us to inform project progress and request an updated invoice. Also, we added the additional commission as per his requirement. After resolving one technical issue, Isam proposed an initial 20% payment, which was approved. Following the confirmation of the contract and PI details, he made the payment one month later.
